I was very lucky to get a good family and a good partner. They was very kind to me and took care of me like I was one of the family members. We used to talk a lot about the differences in cultures. They used to ask me what things I did each day, and always kept checking whether I was doing okay or not. My host’s name is Elisa Blaser. There are 4 members in the family. Her dad I Mr.Philip ( a priest ), her mom, Florence a priestess and younger brother, Charlie. With us, we had another exchange student from Germany, Aaron.
In the house, both dad and mom used to take turns to prepare delicious meals for us, and all of us sat together and ate dinner discussing the problems we faced in India, Switzerland and in Germany. Both Mr. Philip and Florence were quite lovely and took me for a walk through Romont, the place where I stayed.
And the best part was, on the night before I was returning to India, they bought me medicines because I was sick , sleep eye mask, gummy bears, chocolates and even a small gift. They took care of me in every possible way they could, I can’t express my love for my SWISS FAMILY in words. I am glad that I was given an opportunity to live for at least 10 days with such an amazing family. I shall never forget my Swiss Exchange Program as it gave me a second family in a different part of the world
