“Switzerland is the most beautiful country in the world”.  This is one statement we all have heard many times while growing up.  But what they never told us was that it is also one of the most punctual places in the world.  The people are very open-hearted and even strangers are seen greeting each other.  Their public transport vehicles like buses and trains are maintained spotlessly.  People prefer to walk, cycle or use public transport, rather than use private vehicles.  Right from their teen years, children are taught to be self-dependent, by working to earn money on their own.  Recycling is practised on a large scale, and waste is sorted right where they are disposed of – each trash can, has slots for metal, plastic, paper and recyclable PET bottles, even in homes.  Public places and places of scenic beauty are kept neat and clean.  These are just a few of the Swiss practices which we can adopt.

I would like to remind all students interested in joining this Classroom Exchange in the coming years, that you will be experiencing the most amazing two weeks of your life.  Enjoy and learn as much as you can. Have lots of fun, but at the same time try to adopt the aspects of their lifestyle which can bring discipline to our lives.
